Privacy policy

Your privacy is important to Telelangue and we promise to use your personal information responsibly. Take the time to familiarise yourself with our privacy policy: how data is collected, what it is used for, to whom it might be disclosed, how it might be transferred and how long it is stored.
If you require further information, please send an email to dataprotection@telelangue.com or write to us at Telelangue, 9, rue Maurice Grandcoing, 94854, Ivry s/ Seine, France.

Collection and use of personal data

Personal data we may collect:
When you send us a contact form, open a free trial account, purchase a product, sign up for a special offer or information letter, or take part in an online survey, we may collect various items of information, including your name, postal address, telephone number, email address and language learning needs.
In compliance with the principle of minimal data collection, we only keep data that is necessary either for the proper functioning of our applications or for providing lessons, or that is required by French and European applicable regulations.
Telelangue and its subsidiaries may share such data in order to process your requests, reply to communications or improve customer services quality. The data may also be combined with other information to inform and improve our products, services, content and advertising.
If you as a private individual purchase one of our language courses, we will ask you for information regarding your credit card in order to process your payment. Telelangue does not store such data and it is used only by its secure payment partner. Telelangue uses Ingenico for its secure payment solution. As an expert in secure payment solutions, Ingenico guarantees that all sensitive data is transmitted and stored in compliance with the highest standards of security and quality.

How we use your personal data:
The personal data we collect allows us to stay in touch with you on topics such as the very latest news, product updates and upcoming events. It also helps us to improve our services, content and advertising. If you do not wish to be on our mailing list, you can let us know at any time by updating your preferences or contacting us directly.
Moreover, to access services supplied by Telelangue you must register in order to obtain a username and password. We may also use your personal data internally when conducting an audit or data analysis or when seeking to improve Telelangue services and communication with our clients.

Collection and use of non-personal data

Non-personal data we may collect:
We may collect non-personal data such as profession, age, education, languages spoken, post code, time zone, etc. Such data is sometimes needed to help us better understand client behaviour and improve our services.
We may also collect data concerning our clients’ activities on our website or our online services platforms (CyberTeachers®, NetPlanning, NetReporting and any other language learning related service). This data is gathered together and used to help us understand which parts of our website, products and services interest our clients the most.
If we combine personal and non-personal information, the resulting data is processed as though it was all personal data for as long as it stays combined.

Cookies

Telelangue’s website and online services platforms may collect anonymous data by means of cookies. With internet service providers:
Telelangue may make some personal data available to strategic partners in the following circumstances: (a) you have given your consent or (b) they are trusted partners processing data at your request (we require such parties to process said data according to our instructions and in compliance with this privacy statement and all other privacy and security measures).
Telelangue only shares personal data in order to supply or improve our products, services or advertising. Certain non-personal data collected from you may be shared with third parties in order to improve our services. However, such data does not provide enough information to identify you personally.

With others:
Telelangue may have to disclose your personal data if required to do so by law, in the case of legal procedures, disputes and/or a request from government authorities within or outside of your country of residence. We may also have to disclose information about you if it is deemed necessary for reasons of national security, legal compliance or any other public order related issue.
We may also have to disclose information about you if it appears reasonable and necessary to do so in order to ensure our terms and conditions are adhered to or to protect our activities or users. Furthermore, in the case of reorganisation, merger or sale, we may have to transfer some or all of your data to the third party in question.
If you wish to cancel your authorisation regarding sharing of your personal data, you can do so at any time by updating your preferences or contacting us by means of the contact information shown above.
